This magnificent, high-calibre wine tasting was organized on December 19th by wine journalist Daniel Thomases and Tony Sasa. It took place in restaurant La Bottega del buon Caffè in Florence.

The members of the tasting panel also included Paolo Baracchino, enologists Claudio Gori, Stefano Porcinai, Emiliano Falsini, Luca d'Attoma, wine producers Marco Pallanti (Castello di Ama) and Roberto Giannelli (San Filippo), journalist Guido Ricciarelli and President of the Order of Tuscan Journalists Massimo Lucchesi.

All the wines tasted were from the year 1998. One of the grand wine tastings that offered many delightful surprises, and as always an unforgettable experience. It can be said that the producers that emerged as the most appreciated were Cisa Asinari, Mauro Molino, Voerzio, Vajra, Brovia and Conterno.

An old truth was confirmed: nebbiolo is a fantastic grape that does not fear even the less important years, and shows its best in virtually any circumstances.
